It is now known that Eddie Guerrero died of heart disease. His wife Vicki said "
that the blood vessels were very worn and narrow, and that just showed all the abuse from the scheduling of work and his past.
And Eddie just worked out like crazy all the time. It made his heart grow bigger and work harder and the vessels were getting
smaller, and that?s what caused the heart failure. He went into a deep sleep." (credit slamsports.com)

London
Sun has an article with Eddie Guerrero. Here is an exert: "It's a great responsibility being champion, as you're
the one carrying the ball, and I found it very difficult. It was the first time I'd held the title and I don't think
I was ready. I was ready to win the belt, but not for what lay ahead of me. I wasn't prepared mentally for what happens
outside the ring - because I think that's where the real challenges lie. I was taking things like attendances and ratings
very personally. I'm an extremist and that's one thing I'd like to change in my life. It's good to be hard
on myself but not to the point where I beat myself up about things. If I'm honest and look back at my mistakes then I
was too hard on myself when I was carrying the title. I let things eat me up inside and I questioned myself when I shouldn't
have, but it's a lesson learned and I won't make that mistake again." (credit The London Sun)

WWE management has repeatedly told Eddie Guerrero that he is not to blame for the poor ratings and house show business
that plagued WWE during his SmackDown! title reign. Although he does not have to carry the burden of WWE champion, Eddie is
still dealing with some depression and morale issues. It is believed that Guerrero is feeling the stress-related effects of
working himself too hard.

WWE JUDGMENT DAY!
A reduced role for Eddie on WWE after
losing a sick amount of blood at the Judgment Day pay-per-view earlier this month. Realizing his main event with John Layfield
was gearing up to be a stinker, Guerrero bladed heavily at the PPV,
As the cameras stopped rolling, Latino Heat collapsed in the ring and was rushed to a downtown Los Angeles
hospital. He had gone into shock from blood loss.
Required 16 stitches to close the deep gash in his forehead and doctors even recommended he get a blood transfusion.
Eddie said no, and left the hospital that night (source SLAMsports.)

When Chavo Guerrero Sr. showed
up unexpectedly on SmackDown! to defend his son some months ago, many WWE fans may not have been aware of who the elder Guerrero
was. Aside from being Eddie Guerrero's older brother, Chavo Sr. is actually an international Superstar and a Lucha Libre
legend not to mention a former WWE Superstar himself. (wwe.com)

On SmackDown!, it was announced that the mother of WWE Champion Eddie Guerrero who suffered a mild heart attack during
an altercation with John Bradshaw Layfield at a SmackDown! Live Event only four days earlier, was home from the hospital in
guarded condition, but the good news concerning his mother did not alleviate the pain Guerrero is suffering.
Mrs. Guerrero is 76 years old
EDDIE GUERRERO WINS THE WWE CHAMPIONSHIP
Guerrero debuted in 1987 in Mexico's EMLL promotion. He competed primarily in six man tag matches with brothers Hector and
Mando for the first few years. In 1992 he won his first singles title, the WWA Welterweight title, and wrestled under a mask
as Mascara Magica (Magic Mask).
Eddie added the
frogsplash to his vast repertoire, made famous first by Barr, paying tribute to his fallen partner. He and Malenko feuded
the entire summer, exchanging the title between them in a series of matches noted for the scientific wizardry, drawing comparisons
to the epic Flair-Steamboat feud of 1989.
"I put the
pressure on myself to always win and I got my (butt) kicked a couple of times. I didn't like it."
His passion for wrestling has long since returned, but
now Guerrero is fighting another type of pressure as a recovering alcoholic who's been sober for nearly two years.
"I would love to be able to sit down for a beer
with the boys, but the reality is that if I drink a beer I'm not going to stop," said Guerrero, who calls himself
an extremist. "I've really accepted that fact in my life. At first, it was very hard but little by little you overcome
that. Actually, I like being sober and remembering the day and what happened last week."
A fan threw what
essentially was a full beer into the ring, just missing Eddie's daughters. Eddie got on the mic and spoke of the lack
of class the man had, then brought his daughters to the back. The crowd pretty much pointed out the offender, so the police
could grab him. The offender apologized as soon as they grabbed him, and the Sheriffs told him they would not arrest him
for drunken disorderly behavior if he apologized.
Eddie came back out with Dean Malenko, and the police brought the guy down to the guardrail for the apology. Eddie
Guerrero was NOT coming back out to take a piece out of him or anything physical. Eddie told the offender that he had no
class, and the guy, instead of apologizing, threw his hat at Guerrero and yelled "F*** you" at him. Eddie jumped
over the rail and approached the person, but the police and a few of the fans that had stuck around were between them. Eddie
didn't attack the guy, but just yelled at him. As the two were yelling, a fan decided to blindside the drunken offender
and slug him.
The guy who threw the beer
was arrested for disorderly behavior. The fan that hit him was also put into cuffs, but the police escorted him to his car
and let him go. Fans were cheering for him for slugging the person who had been so disrespectful to Guerrero. To Eddie Guerrero's
credit, he never attacked the offender, although I don't think anyone would have blamed him if he had. (credit www.pwinsider.com)

People have been calling Guerrero all week to congratulate him on winning the WWE Championship, an inspirational victory for
seemingly countless reasons.
There's the fact that Guerrero is 5-foot-9 and 220 pounds, a size considered by some to be too small to be WWE Champion.
There's also the fact that Guerrero's win underscores the fact that he's come back from personal demons that nearly ended
his wrestling career, not to mention his life. (credit www.wwe.com)
EDDIE considers his lineage to be both a blessing and a burden. With a father who was a famous wrestler and promoter back
in Mexico and a trio of brothers -- Chavo Sr., Mando and Hector -- who had success in the squared circle, it was only natural
for young Eddie to make his way into the grappling business.
