Hardy was sentenced today in Moore Country, N.C., to 10 days in jail, 30 months of probation
and a $100,000 fine, as part of a plea deal from his drug trafficking arrest last year. Hardy plead guilty to two
counts of possession of a controlled substance, intent to distribute and a single count of conspiracy
to traffic. All are felonies. The plea deal included dropping all other charged
against Hardy. Hardy was also given the okay to travel for his job with TNA.

TNA is planning for Jeff Hardy to win the title back...if...his legal troubles
end and he does not serve jail time.
January 21, 2011 In the
drug trafficking case involving Jeff Hardy in the state of
North Carolina.....a contiuance was requested and agreed to by the courts, so both sides could have more time to try to come
up with a deal. ...if not, Hardy will face trial for the charges from his arrest. The next hearing is set for February 16,

Jeff Hardy's trial for multiple charges has now
been pushed back to June 3.

March 17 2010 Jeff Hardy is expected in
superior court today in Moore County, N.C., today to face charges of felony drug trafficking of
opium, felony possession of cocaine, two counts of felony possession with intent to redistribute
a schedule III controlled substance, maintaining a dwelling for drug use or distribution, and
a misdemeanor of drug paraphernalia possession.
Rumor: TNA will
look at signing Gregory Helms (The Hurricane).

Hardy is due in court on September 30 to face drug charges. Hardy has deleted his Twitter
and MySpace account.

September 14, 2009 TMZ is reporting that, police
have said the estimated street value of the drugs found in Hardy's home, including vicodin, soma, anabolic steroids and
"a residual amount of powder cocaine," was $2,500. Further, TMZ stated, 'we're told his brother posted his
bail, which was set at $125,000."
Hardy posted on his Twitter account that, "for the record, Matt didn't
bail me out, loan me money, or is his name on anything.. He's just learning about today's situation.." Hardy
also stated in a second posting that he will make a statement later. SLAM! Wrestling continues to follow this story.
Conflicting stories are popping up regarding word that is breaking regarding Jeff Hardy.
On the Wrestling Observer website, Bryan Alvarez, in a posting circa 3:30 central, stated that it was confirmed to him by
the Moore County Sherriff's Office that Hardy, who recently departed WWE, "was arrested today on charges of trafficking
in controlled prescription pills and possession of anabolic steroids." Hardy, at roughly 3:50 central, posted on his
Twitter account that, "Alot of exaggerations are out there today, don't believe everything you read 4 it is not true,
I am at home and fine-thanks for your concern."

wrote that "In accordance with its Substance Abuse and Drug Testing Policy, WWE has suspended Jeff Hardy for 60 days,
for his second violation of the company's policy." His first suspension under the company's drug policy
came in late July 2007. That suspension was for 30 days. He will not be at Wrestlemania 24 in a Money in the bag Match.
